When I was a kid, yes 40+ years ago, Hampton Park was home to a zoo that was run down and kind of scary. I am sure it was even worse for the poor animals. And the park itself had become run down too. These days though it is a beautiful place. Lots of flowers, water, birds, walk trails and wonderful people.
I stopped by this morning just to kill some time, check my email, and and gather my thoughts. Well, I did those things but I also snapped a few pictures and got a nice lift from the surroundings. Sometimes we forget how beautiful the places in our own home town are.
